New Real Madrid coach Rafa Benitez has been ordered to shed the kilos!

AS reports Benitez has been told by Real president Florentino Perez to get himself on a diet and lose some weight. Florentino is concerned for Benitez's image, as well as the club's.

Image is always important to Perez and it's suggested Benitez's weight has worked against him in the past when the Real job has become available.

In England, Benitez is taunted by fans referring to him as the 'fat Spanish waiter' - something Perez is aware of.

The former Chelsea and Liverpool manager is expected to present a new slimline version of himself for Real's tour of Australia and China next month.
