Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has stepped up his pursuit of Tottenham star Gareth Bale. It' been confirmed Real are keeping their No11 shirt vacant for the Welsh ace, who is now being dubbed 'The Eleventh Galactico' inside the Santiago Bernabeu.

El Confidencial says Perez was in London on Monday with two major intermediaries well known to English football in an attempt to discuss again with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy about a deal for Bale.

Florentino feels face-to-face talks with Levy, famous for his tough negotiating skills, is the best way to reach a breakthrough.
