Real Madrid president Florentino Perez isn't writing off James Rodriguez.
Sent away to Bayern Munich on a two-year loan, James is struggling to make an impression in Germany.
However, Don Balon says Perez still regards the Colombia international as a long-term Real player - though coach Zinedine Zidane is of the opposite opinion.
Both James and Zidane are agreed that they cannot work together, hence Perez's decision to send the midfielder away on a long-term loan.
The president knows Zidane's reign won't last forever, so has left the door open to James returning if and when the Frenchman leaves.
