Real Madrid president Florentino Perez will make a move for Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Kepa Arizzabalaga on Friday.
Perez is focusing on a deal for the newly capped Spain international before considering a big name keeper signing in the guise of David de Gea or Thibaut Courtois - of Manchester United and Chelsea respectively.
Diario Gol says Perez has already made contact with Kepa's minders to offer a significant signing-on bonus to run down his Bilbao deal before joining Real in June.
However, Perez will make an attempt to open talks with Bilbao on Friday about a January deal. The Real president will offer €20m to buy Kepa and also include a €10m signing-on bonus for the player.
Bilbao will be tempted, given they face losing the Spain international for nothing at the end of the season.
