Real Madrid management have decided to press ahead with plans to sign a new centre-half.
Real president Florentino Perez had wanted to buy a new defender over the summer, but was talked out of his plans by coach Zinedine Zidane and captain Sergio Ramos.
However, with Real stumbling at the start of the season and Ramos struggling for form, Perez has made his mind up.
The president, reports Don Balon has now given his scouts the green light to recommend a new centre-half signing for the January market.
Among the players being watched are Aymeric Laporte (Athletic Bilbao), Matthijs De Ligt (Ajax), Marquinhos (PSG) and Íñigo Martínez (Real Sociedad).
