Real Madrid president Florentino Perez admits big club offers are arriving for Gareth Bale. Perez, who sanctioned the acquisition of Bale, has defended the under-fire winger, who has attracted interest from Manchester United and Chelsea, and has revealed a number of clubs are still interested in signing him.

"Gareth Bale is one of the best players in the world," Perez said.

"The biggest clubs fought and continue to fight to secure his services.

"The only thing I can say is that we shouldn't forget what he was able to achieve in his first year at Real Madrid."
