Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has had a dig at Cristiano Ronaldo in an interview this week.

Speaking with El Espanol, Perez's comments about Ronaldo's drive and desire are being viewed as a criticism of his team ethic.

The president stated: "Cristiano is a person with a fixation: his profession. The rest ... He dedicates himself in body and soul to continue winning Ballon d'Ors and Best prizes, as I think he will win the next two."

However, Perez did also offer public support to Ronaldo over his tax battle.

"He has a clear conscience that he has not done anything wrong or concealed anything," reasoned Perez.
