Real Madrid president Florentino furious with Ramos, Ronaldo over Mbappe snub

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is furious with his senior players.

After dropping four points from consecutive home draws against Valencia and Levante, Florentino is angry he chose to listen to the likes of Sergio Ramos and Cristiano Ronaldo over the summer.

Both senior leaders warned the president off signing PSG striker Kylian Mbappe, while he was still a Monaco player. Ramos insisted the personal terms demanded by the teen would anger the locker room. Ronaldo, meanwhile, threatened to leave if Mbappe arrived.

Florentino chose to accept the players' opinion and allowed PSG a free run at the striker in the final days of the summer market.

However, Don Balon says in the executive box yesterday, as Real stumbled to a 1-1 draw with Levante, Florentino vented his frustration to confidants that he chose to listen to his players, with Real struggling to score in the absence of the suspended Ronaldo.
