Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is frustrated with coach Zinedine Zidane.
Much focus has been placed on the success of Alvaro Morata at Chelsea, after he chose to leave Real over accusations of Zidane favouring Karim Benzema in attack.
However, Perez has also confided to fellow directors his despair at seeing Mariano Diaz starring with Lyon.
Like Morata, Mariano was in a similar situation at Real and chose to leave over the summer in search of regular first team football. In France, he hasn't looked back, scoring four goals in give games.
Perez knows Zidane wanted to keep Mariano, but only as a reserve, so forcing the player to seek a move away.
