Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is personally driving a move for Real Betis youngter Dani Ceballos.

Diario Gol says Ceballos is viewed at Real as ideal cover for senior midfielder Luka Modric and is plotting a move for the 20 year-old.

Florentino also likes the idea of adding a player who has happily taunted Barcelona and Gerard Pique on social media.

Betis are demanding €15 million to sell Ceballos, which Florentino hopes to drive down.

Should the Betico arrive, it could cast doubt on the future of Mateo Kovacic.
