Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is behind Carlos Tevez's problems at Manchester City, it is claimed.
Sport says Real Madrid want to sign Tevez and that his transfer request has been instigated by Bernabeu chief Perez.
An unnamed City director said: "I do not know for sure that Madrid are after him, but we have a well-founded suspicion."
Tevez's demand for a transfer is copybook transfer policy for Perez, who always insists star signings demand a move away before coming in for them.
