Real Madrid president Calderon confident Platini will allow Huntelaar, Diarra to play
Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon remains confident they will be able to register both Klaas Jan Huntelaar and Lassana Diarra for the Champions League.
Marca says while Calderon is still shocked by the gaffe, which could mean coach Juande Ramos having to choose between the two new signings for a Champions League place, the president is confident he can persuade UEFA supremo Michel Platini to allow both to play.
Calderon will lean on support from the Spanish Football Federation to convince Platini to see the matter Real's way.

Simple really. A law is made whether stupid or not - but law it is. If real get away with it it just proves to the world what everyone knows - that they are completely corrupt and that UEFA are just as bad. Simple as that really.
The ruling was already announced and specifically said only one could play. If by "persuade" Calderon means pay off...then I think he is correct as Platini has proven to be quite an insidious individual.
