Real Madrid players have been upset with claims management are seeking a big money replacement for former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.
Since Ronaldo's departure for Juventus, Real have made attempts for Eden Hazard (Chelsea), Kylian Mbappe (PSG) and Neymar (PSG).
And knowing Real are seeking to buy from outside to replace Ronaldo has angered those inside the Real locker room, says El Confidencial.
Real's players believe those who remain deserve greater backing, particularly Marco Asensio, who has been left frustrated knowing president Florentino Perez is determined to replace Ronaldo with another big name.
And the youngster has the full backing of the squad, which are angry with Perez and his fellow directors for not fully supporting Asensio going into the new season.
