Real Madrid's players shrugged off the angry boos from fans during last night's low-key Champions League victory over BATE Borisov.
Despite the 2-0 win, Real were hardly at their best and sparked an angry reaction from fans several times during the 90 minutes.
Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain said: "I truly believe that we should not generalize. The Bernabeu fans are quite demanding and always want the team to play well and win. It is normal and we respect them."
Gabriel Heinze added: "The fans are free to express themselves as they want to. Our job is to win games."
"The fans want to see the show and goals. We have failed a bit," said Marcelo.
