Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure is wanted by Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho.
Sport says Mourinho sees powerhouse Toure as the ideal foil in Real's midfield for playmaker Xabi Alonso.
Mourinho expressed interest in Toure last summer, but the immediacy of leaving Barcelona for Real made any deal virtually impossible.
However, now with a cooling off period of 12 months, Real have renewed contact with Toure's agent, Dimitri Seluk, about a return to Spain in the summer.
If given encouragement, Real president Florentino Perez will not hesitate moving for Toure - not the least as it would upset eternal rivals Barca.
