Real Madrid are preparing a bid for Chelsea goalkeeper Thibault Courtois.

AS says Real coach Jose Mourinho is a big fan of the Belgian, who has been outstanding on-loan with Atletico Madrid this season.

Mourinho sees Courtois as direct competition for skipper Iker Casillas and is eager to add him to his squad for next season.

Atletico would also be keen should Chelsea indicate a willingness to sell.

For his part, Courtois has already admitted it could be three years before he actually gets the chance to play first team football at Stamford Bridge. Even if Chelsea keep hold of him, Courtois is likely to return to Atletico for another season on-loan.
