Real Madrid president Florentino Perez hopes to schedule a meeting with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy next week to close a deal for Gareth Bale.AS says Florentino wants an agreement over Bale before August 11, when Real are due to return to Madrid after their preseason camp in the US.
Levy has so far refused to consider anything less than €120 million cash for Bale.
However, there could be movement on the Spurs side, with El Confidencial reporting a new bid of €98 million cash plus Fabio Coentrao, rated at €20 million, being of interest to Levy and manager Andre Villas-Boas.
Florentino has invited Levy to meet him in Miami on August 6 or 7 to finalise a fee for the Welshman.
