Real Madrid are passing on the signing of Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor.
The deadline to take up the €16 million option to sign Adebayor permanently expires today.
AS says Real have decided to send Adebayor back to City - for now.
Should they fail in their pursuit of Neymar (Santos) and Sergio Aguero (Atletico Madrid), Real will return to the negotiating table for Adebayor.
But they do not want to pay anymore than €7 million for the ex-Arsenal striker.
