The opposition leader at Real Madrid, Eugenio Martínez Bravo, has launched an attack on the management of the club and coach Jose Mourinho.
Martinez Bravo feels Real president Florentino Perez has handed over all control to Mourinho.
In a statement to members, he declared:
"Versus the balance released today on the management and achievement of our Club, I would first of all, congratulate all of us on the positive achievements to date, amongst them which His Majesty the King's Cup title, a beloved title, desired and celebrated by our fans. We also congratulate ourselves on the strength of the financials now presented, whose growth in revenue and profits serve to recognize us as the economic potential treasure behind our heritage and our brand. Despite these achievements, let me share with you three important aspects that I believe pose a risk and a concern for the future of our institution:
"The first is our level of debt: Real Madrid has 487 million euros, which is having one of the highest debt levels in Europe.
"The second is the uncertainty of future television rights, starting today represents a significant 32% of revenues. Possible changes are coming and strong pressure from the other Clubs in the management model and distribution of television rights. Real Madrid should not only protect and defend their interests firmly on this front, but also should explore the development of the only two possible avenues of growth: the Internet and broadcasting in new international markets.
"The third are the prices in members annual quotas and social contributions in recent years which the President has been increasing on the members of Real Madrid. In times of crisis and unemployment, it is very difficult to understand that. In a club that cannot pay dividends, it could use some of the enormous benefits not only to freeze, but also to reduce members´ contributions who will certainly appreciate and applaud the measure,
"We also presented for approval today a very important work for which is one of the most important assets of the heritage of our club: the Santiago Bernabeu stadium. A large shopping center, boxes ... spectacular, yes, but what about the thousands of partners/members that are years on the waiting list for a ticket?
"This is a problem which is bigger, remains unresolved, thus persisting without presenting a Social Club project which for years we have been demanding i.e. a place of recreation and enjoyment for the whole white family,. It is also a shame to see how the President does not put on the same side of the coin our basketball section, i.e. we had submitted a draft pavilion instead of going Vistalegre provided first, then the Box Magic, and now the Palace of Sports.
"In the management section little comment on my comment, except perhaps the request for a review of the medical model, because our view is that something is wrong in our agreement with Sanitas, Once again we do offer from White Platform our help to share our ideas for reform and finally have a modern constitution according to the twenty-first century.
"We have started a new season with major doubts and setbacks, and still I express my great enthusiasm in order to achieve the objectives that have been forecasted. You all know particularly my preferences for other long-term sports model that are more importance to our youth and the enormous talent that crosses national Spanish football, I sincerely believe we have a competitive team capable of aspiring to it. I hope and trust with all my heart that this year we finally get together and celebrate all the titles we so desire, for it must be linked together and, on balance where appropriate, at the end of the season, as only time will give or remove reasons.
"And yet no one escapes the institutional turmoil being experienced by our Club. We face challenges and fronts that we ever raised, and give answers, justifications and images unrecognizable and so far unprecedented in the history of our Club.
"Let no one be misled: our club is going through a major institutional turmoil derived from the lack of authority of the one who runs it. And for this reason is that I express my deep concern and so I appeal to the sense of responsibility Our Club is a mirror for millions of children and people in the world. Sportsmanship and knowledge, whether in victory or defeat, are etched in gold letters on the skin of our Club. Let us never lose the north or the perspective of who we are, or where we come from. No person, no one is bigger or is above that which unites us and we all want: Real Madrid CF
"I can hardly recognize a Real Madrid with his lost soul, where the coach does the President's job, the President is absent, and where the "anything is valid" has been established as a means to achieve any purpose. I trust and hope that the President knows how to regain lost time and space where you really have to work: at the sports authorities, both Spanish and European, and it is he who knows more than ever now, that we have stand firmly with the interests of our club but where it belongs. He has more importantly, the union and support of all of us, members of Real Madrid. We never wanted anyone give away anything, but we did not take it either.
"Dear Members: Everyone knows that as our sport model holds different views to those of the President, but no one is having different opinions about Real Madrid, as above all we respect it. There are no types or categories of Real Madrid. Whites were born, and die for Madrid. And remember, our greatest enemy is ourselves, once we abandon the complaint justified and permanent, we will keep united and focused solely on victory, no matter what they do or what anyone says, because there is no better answer to rival the see our goal scoring up to win titles or to repeat the dream and that is our common goal: to make a comeback in the XXI century, the best club in the world.
"Now and forever, HALA MADRID!"
