Real want to find a buyer for the France international and are encouraging Atletico to take him off their hands.

Diarra has held talks with Turkish clubs in the past month, but has priced himself out of a move to Istanbul.

Real want €10 million for the midfielder and intend to use the funds raised to buy a new midfielder this summer.
