Real Madrid are making a mega bucks straight cash offer for Tottenham star Gareth Bale.

The Daily Star says Real are confident they will win the battle for Bale - and have set a June 15 deadline for the deal to be done with Tottenham.

The Spanish giants raised the stakes by increasing their offer for the double Player of the Year to £60m.

Real have been encouraged by the fact Bale has not signed a new contract with Spurs, despite the Londoners promising a huge wage hike to £130,000 a week. They are willing to match the wages on offer to Bale at White Hart Lane - and boost his income with an image rights deal.

Real could soon be awash with cash as they expect to sell Angel di Maria to French side Monaco for £24m and striker Gonzalo Higuain to Italians Juventus for £21m.
