Real Madrid are chasing Manchester City midfielder David Silva.

The Sun says Silva will be the target of £30million bid from Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho as the Special One begins adding to his championship winning squad.

Mourinho has decided to table the offer after observing how important the midfielder was to City's successful Barclays Premier League campaign last season.

However, they have a huge battle on their hands to lure him back to his native Spain after the 26-year-old former Valencia midfielder indicated he wants to remain under Roberto Mancini.
