Real Madrid No2 Aitor Karanka says Cristiano Ronaldo took his benching well for their victory over Barcelona.

Ronaldo still managed to hit the post when he came on in the second-half.

Karanka said: "He takes it the same as any other player. Everyone knows the coach and knows how he thinks and acts and take it well. When they find out, often two hours or an hour and a half before the match, they respect the decision and he never says anything special to anyone."
