Real Madrid have been named club of the year by the European Club Association (ECA).
This is the fifth year where the association award such a prize and this year's prize was recognition of Madrid winning the Champions League, Spanish Cup and being title contenders in the race for La Liga.
Apart from the sporting side, the club from the Spanish capital were rewarded for their social services with the Real Madrid Foundation receiving a prize for the "El Gallinero" (A Madrid based initiative) which encourages integration of marginalised young people and promotes the learning of social values through football and basketball schools.
