Real Madrid have made a major move for Internacional midfielder Sandro.

The 20 year-old defensive anchor saw a move to Tottenham break down during the winter market and admitted only last week of hopes that Spurs will revive a deal in the summer.

However, El Mundo Deportivo says Real GM Jorge Valdano has made contact with Sandro's representatives to register their interest and step up their push for the midfielder.

The 20 year-old admits he is prepared to move to Europe in 2010.
