Real Madrid midfielder Xabi Alonso says Spain must show fighting spirit in their next World Cup game with Chile.
Spain are still reeling from their 5-1 thrashing by Holland.
"We are still alive; we want to prove that we still have a lot to say in this tournament. We want to compete and we know how to do that. The match against Chile will demand a high level of performance and rhythm from us and we know how to damage them because we know them very well," said Xabi.
"Chile always play the same. They are very brave tactically. They do not wait for you to even speculate, they are aggressive and intense. Before the Holland game we had a great deal of respect for them and now we know only a win will do for us."
