Real Madrid midfielder Mesut Ozil is happy to be in new contract talks.

Ozil's father and agent has kicked off negotiations this summer over a contract upgrade.

"It makes me happy they want to renew, but nothing has been decided. I am in no hurry, but it's great to think Madrid want to renew because that means they trust me.

"Of course I imagine retiring in Madrid, but also something else entirely could happen. In football everything happens very fast," said the midfielder.
