Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric hopes to get one over Barcelona rival Ivan Rakitic tonight.

So focused is Modric on helping Real extend their three-point lead at the top of LaLiga that the pair haven't spoken to each other throughout the week.

"I haven't spoken to Rakitic because we are all preparing for the game in peace," the Real star told Sportske Novosti. "After the match, we will hug and talk as normal.

"Hopefully I have to console him afterwards."

He added: "The LaLiga title is the only one that I don't have with Real Madrid and I believe the time has now come to end that record."
