Real Madrid midfielder Martin Odegaard is continuing his progress on-loan with Heerenveen.

The Norway international is in his second season on-loan at the Dutch outfit and after their 4-0 win at FC Twente, he was named the Eredivisie's Player of the Round.

Heerenveen coach Stijn Schaars admits Odegaard is now showing the form to suggest he is destined for bigger things.

"Let's enjoy having him with us," he said. "He plays incredibly well and today he could have finished with five assists and a goal."

Odegaard also stated: "I'm now showing a bit more of my ability now. I'd like to do this every weekend."

The midfielder's loan runs to the end of this season.
