Real Madrid midfielder Marco Asensio admits they paid for not taking their chances in defeat to Barcelona.

Leo Messi struck in injury time to edge the El Clasico 2-3 for the visitors.

Asensio stated afterwards: "The team has fought until the end and when they score in the last minute it makes you angry.

"But we are still there, we have a game in hand and we have to keep fighting until the end to win the league. We had chances to finish the game but we didn't put them away. They also have a lot of quality up front and we paid the price."
