Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos admits an injury suffered by Luka Modric is a "big blow".

Modric faces up to four months out with a serious tendon injury.

"For us it is a big blow, because he has played nearly all of the matches and was in top form.

"I don't really know what injury he has and how long he will be out for, but for it is definitely bad news," said Kroos.
