Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos believes Antoine Griezmann deserves a Ballon d'Or nomination.

Atletico and Griezmann have hit out at FIFA after being snubbed for their The Best award this week.

Kroos says: "Of course Griezmann deserves to be on the podium for the Ballon d'Or.

"He won the Europa League and the World Cup, he deserves it. But I do not really like these individual distinctions.

"It's about teamwork."
