Real Madrid midfielder Isco has clashed with fans on social media after their thrashing by Barcelona.

Isco was dropped to the bench, and the midfielder has given his explanation against claims that he didn't want to warm up for coach Zinedine Zidane during the second-half.

Confusion reigned supreme on the Real Madrid bench after Dani Carvajal's red card, with Gareth Bale already set to come on and Isco remaining on the bench.

Thus, accusations of his refusal to prepare for coming on were rejected by the Spaniard.

"Stop your c***," Isco tweeted at Madrid-based outlet AS.

"My two teammates were about to warm up... I didn't realise we could have made four changes."
