Real Madrid midfielder Asier Illarramendi is ready to step in for injured teammate Luka Modric.

Modric is facing six weeks out with a knee injury.

"We will see, it is not known how long he'll be missing," said Illarramendi.

"I'm available, I train every day to be ready if the coach needs me. I hope it's nothing serious. If I have to play, I'm ready.

"I have not played much, but I am fresh."
