Real Madrid midfielder Fernando Gago is a target for Liverpool.
The People says the Argentina star does not feature in Jose Mourinho's plans and will be sold to the highest bidder in the summer.
His old club Boca Juniors and AC Milan are interested, but he has ruled out a return to his homeland. Gago, 24, would love a crack at the Premier League, and the chance to play alongside Steven Gerrard and Raul Meireles.
Real have slapped a £10million price on Gago, although Liverpool will not go above £8m.
