Real Madrid and Manchester United sell across the world market more than 1 million shirts annually. Sales have been between 1.2 and 1.5 million. The result can only be challenged by Barcelona, which sits in third place with a range between 1 and 1.2 million.
Merchandising works for English clubs, as demonstrated by the 7-900,000 shirts sold each year by Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea.
