Real Madrid are ready to make an offer for Chelsea defender Ricardo Carvalho.
The Daily Express says new Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho is considering a £5m move for defender Carvalho, one of his favourites during his time at Chelsea.
Mourinho's main defensive target for his rebuilding of Real is another of his former players, Inter Milan's Maicon.
But if Mourinho cannot prise Brazilian Maicon away from Italy, Real are planning to move Sergio Ramos to right-back and bring in another centre-back, with Carvalho the main target.
