Real Madrid make new push for Chelsea striker Drogba

Chelsea striker Didier Drogba is back in the sights of Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho. The Sunday Mirror says Mourinho has targeted Drogba to ease his striker crisis at Real Madrid.

The former Chelsea boss wants to be reunited with 32- year-old Drogba after initial negotiations to recruit Manchester City's Emmanuel Adebayor broke down.

Chelsea will be unwilling to trade their goal-scoring hero even though Drogba has endured a miserable winter since contracting malaria.

But Mourinho is at war with Real's general director Jorge Valdano and demanded the recruitment of at least one new striker.
