Real Madrid are making an improved offer for Wigan Athletic winger Luis Antonio Valencia.
The Daily Mail says Real Madrid are ready to offer Wigan £11million plus surplus to requirements striker Javier Saviola for winger Valencia.
Wigan are holding out for offers in the region of £20m for Valencia who has been identified by Real manager Juande Ramos as the man he wants to play on the right-wing at the Bernabeu.
An offer to take Valencia on loan with a view to a permanent deal in the summer was rejected out of hand by Wigan but Real are hopeful the chance to take Saviola to the JJB Stadium may prove more tempting.
