Real Madrid legend Raul plans to hang up the boots at New York Cosmos this season.

AS says Raul has informed Cosmos directors and coaching staff that he plans to hang up his boots next month, once the NASL season ends.

The player has been thinking over his decision for a while and apart from struggling to keep up with the pace with the league competition and daily training sessions, the 38-year-old needs to be close to his family in Madrid for personal reasons.

He has a month to reach a definitive decision and there would be no problem if he finally decides to rescind his contract.
