Real Madrid legend Raul is expected to sign for New York Cosmos in January.
Currently tied with Al Sadd, Raul was in New York over the weekend and saw Cosmos meet Indy Eleven.
AS reports while the transfer window for new signings for the American soccer leagues closed on October 6th, it's hoped that Cosmos make Raúl's signing official for the January window. It's hoped that Raúl forms part of part of the squad but the club are keen for him to adopt auxiliary roles within the franchise.
At 37 years of age, the ex-Madrid player is keen to keep playing but is also attracted to the possibility of coaching and he sees the United States as a perfect starting point due to the ongoing development and progression that football is experiencing in the US.
