Real Madrid legend Raul was delighted with his two-goal debut for Schalke on the weekend.
Raul was outstanding in Schalke's victory over Bayern Munich.
"The first goal against Bayern was a typical 'Raul goal'. I've scored a lot of goals like that in the past. I'd like to dedicate that goal to the fans, who have been very supportive since I signed here," said Raul to the club's official website.
"I'm glad that I got the chance to play some matches in front of our home crowd. It's important to get match rhythm. I'm feeling very well here and I'm happy that I helped the team to a win against Bayern with my two goals.
"My team-mates have been very helpful in the past couple of days and they're making it very easy for me to adapt to my new surroundings.
"Christoph Metzelder had already told me a lot of positive things about the Schalke fans, but I was still surprised with the amazing atmosphere. It was a great experience to play in front of these fantastic fans. It's really something special to play here."
