Real Madrid legend Michel has been named new coach of Sevilla.
Michel, 48, takes charge with the club lying 11th in the standings after a seven-game winless run, which prompted the dismissal of Marcelino Garcia Toral yesterday.
"For our part, we are convinced that this situation will reverse.
"I am optimistic by nature, but also realistic. We cannot do anything if we think we are the champions - we have to prove this the field."Speaking at a press conference also attended by Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido, Michel said: "My message is very clear: we have three months of competition and I am tremendously excited that Sevilla gets where they belong.
