Real Madrid legend Iker Casillas is edging closer to a move to England.
AS says Casillas has no future at Porto, where he has fallen out with coach Sergio Conceicao. A January departure now appears inevitable.
And waiting to take the goalkeeper off Porto's hands is Newcastle, where manager Rafa Benitez is keen to work with the veteran.
Benitez was reluctant to see Casillas leave Real upon taking charge two years ago and is now ready to snap him up next month.
In Spain, it's suggested Casillas would arrive as direct competition for Karl Darlow, offering the young shot-stopper the chance to step aside during the season.
