Real Madrid legend Hugo Sanchez has opened the door to a coaching role in the USA.
The former Mexico international has been linked with a job in MLS recently and his representative said it is certainly a possibility.
"He would react well to that opportunity," said José Manuel Sanz. "He has a home in San Diego where he spends a lot of time and he likes to live in the USA. For him, MLS would be a great challenge with some good teams in the present moment. He would enjoy the opportunity to coach in the USA."
Sanchez recently lost his post as manager of Spanish club Almeria with rules stating he cannot coach until next season but Sanz was confident he would seek another position when he was able to.
"Right now he is Spain and he continues to live in Almería," Sanz said. "Up to next season, he can't coach any team in Spain because the rules say he cannot coach two teams in the same season. He has to wait for next season to get another team in Spain. His idea is to stay in Europe but if an opportunity came up in the United States, he would be interested."
