Real Madrid legend Alfredo di Stefano has been released from hospital after undergoing treatment for a heart condition.
The 84-year-old, the club's honorary president, was taken into the city's Sanitas La Moraleja Hospital nine days ago due to what Real describe, in a statement on their website, as "a cardiorespiratory deficiency".
But he was discharged on Saturday and "will now go on vacation with his family", the statement confirmed.
Di Stefano won the "Pichichi" trophy as La Liga's top goalscorer five times in six seasons during his playing days with the club, and won 31 caps for Spain and six for Argentina. He was instrumental in helping Real win the European Cup in the first five seasons after its inception in 1955.
