Real Madrid goalkeeper Diego Lopez admits he's grateful to coach Jose Mourinho for backing him this season.

Mourinho has stood by Lopez, even with skipper Iker Casillas now fully fit.

Lopez said: "He's given me continuity and he's the one who has had the most confidence in me throughout my career. I thank him for many things. We've got a lot of competition at the goal and that's best for the club."
