Real Madrid goalkeeper Diego Lopez was happy to stay in coach Carlo Ancelotti's starting XI for the draw with Villarreal.
Lopez was outstanding as Ancelotti went with him ahead of club legend Iker Casillas.
"It's up to the coach to decide whether the two of us will get to play. We have to support each other in the team. We have to win no matter who is selected to play. Fortunately, we have a great squad and we have to support each other and spur each other on. The team is a close-knit group and that is the most important thing," said Lopez.
As for his day-to-day situation, he explained: "I get on with my work and each week I wait to see what decision Ancelotti will take. There are many opinions out there and I think in the world of football everyone has an opinion and there is nothing I can do about it. I am focused on my work and I will do my best to make the most of this opportunity. From the first day I came to this club, which is the best club in the world, I have promised myself that I will enjoy every minute."
