Real Madrid intend to recall Raul de Tomas for next season.
Marca says directors have settled that De Tomas will take over Borja Mayoral's role as Real Madrid's fourth striker.
Mayoral is one of the few backups who has made the most of his minutes this season and he is set to leave the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu in search of more minutes elsewhere.
While Los Blancos always boast significant attacking talent, there is still a need for a fourth-choice forward and De Tomas has earned the right to fulfil that need through his excellent performances with Rayo Vallecano, where he has scored 23 goals during this season's loan.
He'll take over the role that Mayoral has occupied this year and that Mariano Diaz fulfilled last season.
