Real Madrid hope to cool Man Utd, Man City jets with joint Ronaldo statement
Real Madrid hope to put to bed this week rumours of Cristiano Ronaldo wanting out. Ronaldo's comments that he was "sad" have sparked talk of Manchester United, Manchester City and PSG coming in for the Portuguese ace.
But the Telegraph says Real Madrid are preparing a joint statement with Ronaldo that should put an end, at least temporarily, to the speculation over his future.
The declaration being compiled by the club, but expected to be signed by the player as well, will reaffirm Real's commitment to extending his contract beyond 2015 and will also give the club's full support for him to be named as the European Footballer of the Year.
